It's depend on the company and the interview officers. American companies are more prefer to hire brave people, even a little bold, but most European companies would appreciate if you are cautious. Early this month, I was having my breakfast in the Hilton hotel in DenHaag, the table which was 4 meters away was having a "morning tea" interview. The 2 officers are european, but the applicant comes from U.S. (can hear from the accents). The job is located in Asia. The guy simply said "I can do this", "I can do that", "not a problem" xxxxxxx Then the officers asked him a very difficult question, apparently they were expecting a answer such as "let me think about it, can I give you my answer tomorrow?", or something like that. But the guy without thinking said "yes, sure, that's no problem." At last, they asked him "except those advantages you just told us, is there anything else?" "En.........there is one more. I am good at breaking rules. "Sorry, you what? breaking rules?" "Yes, when I was in university, one day I was in canteen........." "So, you broke the rule?" "yes, I was the first one broke that rule" ........... Bye bye, job. sorry for the guy.
